I'm Back!

I cannot believe I have not posted anything in a year and a half!! Life has totally changed...I have a 10 week old baby girl named Avery and Madeline is now almost 4!!! I am going to try to post some often...we shall see!! I need to get better at this whole blog thing...I am a stay at home mom until the end of January so I hopefully will have some extra time on my hands...

Maybe Next Time Daddy

Walking into Wyncote for dinner the other night Madeline and Daddy were having a conversation about this recent baseball game defeats...

Madeline: Daddy...you were coach at baseball game today?

Daddy: Yes Madeline, Daddy was coaching today.

M: You win Daddy??

D: No, Madeline, we didn't win the game today. :(

M: That's okay Daddy...maybe your team win next time Daddy. :)

How cute is that???

No More Yellow!

Jason has been promising Madeline a bumblebee shirt... (he is coaching Oxford "Hornets" Baseball)

This was their conversation tonight while he was reading books with her at bedtime...

Madeline: "Daddy, you get me a bumblebee shirt??"

Daddy: "Sure Madeline...What color do you want?"

M: "Pink!"

D: "Pink...you don't want yellow?"
(she has LOVED yellow for sooo long!)

M: "No...pink...I like pink!"

D: "Yellow isn't your favorite color anymore?"

M: "No...Doggies pee-pee yellow!"

"Dress-Up"

"I'm Older!"

Back in October when Madeline had her 2nd birthday party she got a Fancy Nancy game as well as a few other classics....Chutes & Ladders...Candy Land...

I told Madeline, "We will play the Nancy Fancy game when you are older (it was age 3+)...It is too hard for you right now".

She would ask about it for a week or two but finally stopped asking...Today, 5 months later she opened the cabinet and took it out...I asked her if she wanted to play it...

She started screaming..."I'm older, I'm older!!!" When Jason came home that was the first thing she told him..."I'm older Daddy!!"

So...they remember EVERYTHING you tell them...they cannot be fooled!!

Snow Days!

The snow was very powdery so it was very difficult to make a snowman...We tried!

Today, around noon, while we were on our "snow day," some boys rang our doorbell asking if we wanted our driveway shoveled....Madeline yells out..."DINNER!"

Was that a clue that we should cook for ourselves a little more??
